Bio

I was born in a small town in Pennsylvania. Growing up, I tried a few sports but dropped out of everything I started. I always had an interest in fitness but could never commit to anything. I “forgot” my gym clothes every day because I didn’t want to exercise, and I definitely didn’t want to be the last person picked for kickball.

In high school, they gave us the option of going to the weight room or doing group fitness. I found that I really enjoyed lifting. When I moved to Virginia to be with my now-husband, David, I started to add more food groups—other than just carbs. I followed my DVD Beachbody workouts with Shaun T back in 2013, and that’s when I started to get into fitness.

Turning Point

When I had my first child, I struggled with postpartum depression. It was during COVID, and we had moved to a new house. I felt isolated. It was a challenge to get out of bed. I tried every fad diet and couldn’t keep myself motivated to work out in the basement.

When I had my second child, I decided that I wanted to make a change. I knew that I wouldn’t stay motivated working out at home, and that I needed group fitness. The options were yoga… or CrossFit. I didn’t particularly like these options. I heard the typical: “You’ll get hurt,” “Isn’t that too intense?” “CrossFit is for really fit people.”

In January of 2022, David and I joined CrossFit as New Year’s resolution-ers. Everyone at the gym was so encouraging and friendly, and I felt like I belonged. I was inspired by those around me. I’ll say I truly locked in during April of 2023 when I did one of our challenges. This challenge had us tracking food and sleep. I remember doing a workout and thinking about how amazing and strong I felt. I understood how to properly fuel myself. Although I stayed consistent, nutrition was the last piece of the puzzle for me.

I also discovered a love for running and completed my first half marathon in 2023. But the word “half” just didn’t cut it for me—so I set a goal to run a full marathon. In October 2024, I checked that bucket list item off.

Motivation & Passion

I want to inspire others who are similar to me—people who may not have had an athletic background or grown up with a healthy lifestyle. I am a full-time hairstylist, a wife, a mother to two amazing children (Leo & Stella), have a hobby farm, and still manage to make time for myself. I strive to make people feel more confident—inside and outside of the gym. I’m here to live the lifestyle that I want my children to live.
